: I would like to hear from anyone that can shed light on this subject.
: Had extensive testing performed including brain biopsy to determine cause
: of numerous brain leisions. No answer was given. Associated symptoms
: included: localized numbness on face, loss of taste, reduced hearing, impared sight,
: impared balance, low body temperature, impared communicative abilities. Have
: experienced some recovery utilizing internal/external heat program w/hyper vitamins,
: diet supliments, etc. Still have reduced functions in all the above. And, no doctor
: that seems to know what the hell it is or how to treat it.??????? Help
:Dee, brain lesions are very hard to see onMRI and the symptoms depend upon which nerve or area it is involved in the brain. I have similar symptoms, but no real diagnosis other than a vestibular or neurologic disorder. I know a lady who does have a lesion and she has a condition call Mal-de-Barkma syndrome(spelling?),it's a neurologic conditon. If you have a lesion on the vestibularchoclear(8th cranial)nerve it causes a lot of the symptoms you have. I also have facial numbness, imbalnce, ringing in both ears, hearing fluctuations, constant swaying, headaches, coldness etc. I'd be anxious to knoe if you go to an endocrinologist what you find--I have considered having all that checked even though I've had several panels done on my thyriod. Please reply and let me know. Thanks, Paula.Oh, did you ever have a viral infection before these syptoms came on with a high fever?
