I understand your problem I also have a syrinx located approx. C-2 to T-6 and so far no Neurologist will even begin to associate any of my pain symptoms to its existance. From what I have read it is best to NOT elect invasive operations until the symptoms are unbearable. Remember also that the follow up MRI's to check its progress weather or not new symptoms have appeared is important to managing this unseen cause of pain. Best of luck in your pursuits of relief.
