: : Welcome to the REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY
: This is confusing to me.. I have RSD for 10 yrs plus. Short term memory and lack of concentration is a problem since late '97. I have a morphine pump implant, and a new infusaport. The indusaport implant caused a RSD flair up i didn't expect.
: I was under control until a auto accident in '97 which has caused the spread of the RSD. I have the best doctors and they are having a problem getting me back in control. I would like to share with anyone who needs to talk. I know I do.. ed
: Hi, Ed. I have had RSD for 6 plus years. I have it in my right leg, left arm, and right elbow. I have been able to control it for the past 3 years, but my left arm has flared up really bad, and now they think I have a pinched ulner nerve in my shoulder,
that is compounding the problem. I go in for tests, in a couple of days, and will know the next day, whether they are going to have to surgically relieve this. I am scared to death that the surgery will make the RSD worse, but at this point, I don't know
what else to do. I can't stand the pain, and I won't let them do any more spinal blocks...had a bad experience with the last one. I can't use my arm anymore, and I am in constant pain. I have been using my "stash" of pain killers. (My ortho doesn't
believe in narcotic pain medicine). I'm out of work (I work on computors all day). I know how it feels to need to talk....I never encountered anyone else with this before I saw this message board. If you want to talk, let me know. Tammy
