: I can't find a knowledgeable Dr. that specializes in R.S.D. Had it for 7 months and systoms becoming worse. The swelling, pain movement disorder, skin changes, inter ear pain, build up with fluid.Loss of hair. Body tempt.Blurred vision. This is on the left side of face and neck. Are there anyone that has experienced these systoms and have been treated and what treatment did they use.I am beside myself because I was a very healthy active person and I don't understand what I got or how I got it.I would appreciate anyone help..

: Beverly, have had rsd for 6 years, and have experienced some of what you have. i don't have the same thing as you, and not in the same place, so i'm sure i'm not going to be alot of help there. rsd has gotten alot worse over past 3 or 4 months, and i am now having problems finding any dr that seems to care enough to help. just being shuffled back and forth between drs, and being told the next one will help.... BUT i wanted to say hi, sorry that you are suffering, and you're not alone. There are many of us here who would like to
help if we can, if only sharing and talking. ALSO....rsd comes with no reason or ryme. it is not something taht you did. it USUALLY comes on after some kind of injury, or surgery, but not always. I have taken ultram, and neurontin for the pain, and antidepressants to help sleep. (the dr's also say that the same endorphins that are responsible for the rsd are the same taht are responsible for depression, in some cases). Don't know if anything I said will help, but know that it feels a little better knowing that someone cares, and
knows what you are going through. Have it in both legs, and both arms. (originally had it only in right knee after injury AND surgery), but over past year, went into left arm, and over past couple of months, has gone into lower left leg, and right elbow. Have the burning, searing pain, swelling, discoloration, down to the bone aching, loss of use, and have severe problems with weather changes. (cold kills me). Hope that something I have shared may help, even a little. You need to talk, or ask questions, just post a message. Like I
said, there are others on here, like me, who have become friends, and try to help each other through this. Take good care of yourself, and by all means, make noise, be heard, and if you're not happy with your treatment, keep looking, don't settle for someone who doesn't know rsd. But also research! the more you know, the more you may be able to help your dr help you. P.S. a great site to check out is www.rsdcoalition.com check it out.
Good luck! Tammy
