My 12 yr old daughter is a fast pitch pitcher. She has been a pitcher since she was 8yrs old. June 18 she started complaining of her right shoulder. We took her to her orthopedic. He x-rayed her shoulder. It showed a small fracture in her growth plate. We stopped the pitching and started physical therapy. It has been 3 months with not a lot of improvement. Her right hand, in the past has given her some problems at ball games, she has complained of it hurting and it has swollen at different times. She also has had problems with her right hip with pain going down to her ankle. The orthopedic did some blood work on her to rule out some things. Her ana was positive. So we went to a rheumatologist. He did more blood work and concluded her ana was a false positive. Meanwhile, my daughter is still hurting. Now he has ordered more blood work to check for antibodies that would suggest rsd. I have been searching the internet for some answers. She does have some symptoms. But she does not have the burning or discoloration of skin or rash. If anyone else out there can help me at all I would really appreciate it. She wants to play ball!!!!!
