I've had mine for 16 months & it is a burning, stabbing pain that doesn't stop. In sympathetic cases, there is skin discoloration. Do as Kathy said & get the tests Kathy suggested. Do yourself a favor, look up stuff on the net & demand a specialist from your insurance.....normal doctors won't help a bit, you'll definitly need someone who knows this syndrome/disease/disorder...whatever you want to call it. Check w/ your insurance to see if they cover outside specialists...mine does if they cannot find anyone. Good luck & I hope your daughter doesn't have it & it's just inflamation for a soft tissue tear, those are much better to have than this.

Two good sites to go to are Http://RSDHope.org and Http://rsdrx.com. They give an abundance of info on the disease and it's treatments. good luck and let us know how she's doing, Kathy
