: : I have not been diagnosed, yet I've been experiencing restless leg syndrome for the past 10 years, off and on.
: : The only thing is, I'm reading a lot about people experiencing pain. Is this the norm for restless leg? or can you have it without pain. I just get an uncontrollable urge to kick and the more I try to relax the worse it gets. And it last all night. But, I don't have any pain before, during or after.
: : I also sometimes get it during the day where I have to bounce my leg continuously. Plane rides are hell.
: : Does anyone else have this without pain? Or do I maybe just have something else?

: Re: I have two kinds of RLS, one focussed in the knees and the other in the calves. Neither is painful but both result in a feeling that if I don't move my leg(s) I'll go crazy. When I try to resist moving, tension builds up to a level where I feel I'll explode. The knee kind leads to involuntary jerks when I'm asleep but doesn't usually wake me up. (Just my wife) The calf kind wakes me out of a dead sleep and results in my having to get up to have a bath or walk about for a while.

My wife has it w/o pain, doesn't even wake her up.
