I have had restless leg syndrome all my life I am 53. Not severe in that I get enough sleep at night although I am wakened by it at least once a night. It has been more an inconvenience making plane trips and movie theatres where I had to sit for any length of time an unwelcome experience.
However 8 weeks ago I adopted the low carb hi protein lifestyle because I have discovered I was insulin resistant and my blood pressure and cholesterol where incredibly high.
Within 4 weeks everything was normal a dramatic change but also the restless legs were so much better also. I am not sure if it is the diet or the amount of water I am now trying to drink every day. I aim for 48 oz per day. Or maybe it has been the high carb low fat diet I had been living on that aggrevated it.
Anyway I have felt so much better on the low carb diet and I dropped 10 lbs too that I will stick with it.
