: Hello to all! I have been suffering from RLS for years. Until recently I had no idea there was even a name for it much less treatment. Unfortunatley my Dr knows very little about the condition. He first put me on Zanaflex. It had very little effect. Then he gave me Elavil. It made it MUCH worse. I read about people having good results with Sinemet so I called him and asked to be put on this. He said he had never heard of treating RLS with a Parkinson's med. and refused to give until I agreed to see a neurologist! So in the meantime he put me on Ambien. I hate it! Makes me sick and I still only sleep about 2 hours per night. So I'm trying to hang in there and keep my sanity until Nov. 6 when I see the neurologist. I have printed off several articles about RLS. Would I be out of line to take these in to my Dr to read? Thanks, Dawn

Good Luck with your visit to your Neurologist.A step in the right direction They should know all about RLS. I have had great success with a Parkinson Med called Permax. Have spoken aboutit on a resently posted message so I won't repeat my self. I don't think your Dr should mind you taken information from the message board as it is all case history which he should be very interested in. Hope you get relief soon. (let us know how you go)
