Jan -- It's important to monitor your body temperature;
if you "feel warm" just prior to bedtime, RLS symptoms are certainly more likely to occur.
I suggest you cool-down (and relax) completely at least a half hour before bed; in my case I judge
"cool enough" by the indication of cold feet -- if I enter the bed with cold feet - I won't be having
any problem with RLS.
