what you're talking about is NOT RLS. I've actually seen a TV medical report on your condition but I don't remember what they said could be done for it. RLS is not jerking while asleep. On the contrary - when you are suffering from RLS, you CANNOT get to sleep. As described in other websites, it's the inability to keep from moving your legs - not pain, but hard to describe unless you have it - then you know it. GOod luck!

: Hi Sleeps Like Log:
: My husband was doing the same thing FOR 10 YEARS!
: A physical therapist that I was working with told
: me to give him vitamine E, I did and his legs
: slowed down to a tremor at night. As soon as he
: ran out of E the tremors became jerks again.
: One of my patients heard me talking about his
: problem and gave me Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin.
: He takes it in the morning and his RLS is GONE!
: He has been jerk free for 4 months now. I understand
: that OPC is a strong antioxidant.
: Hope this helps someone.

: : Hi all,

: : For the last 10months or so my wife has been leaving our bed in the middle of the night because i am jumping around in my sleep. (I have asked her to wake me and i will sleep elsewhere but she has a tough time waking me up!!).

: : We have been together 8 years and she is sure that this is just recent. I am 41 years old. There is absolutely nothing that I can think of that changed 10 months ago. I do it when im really tired and i do it when i can hardly get to sleep. I do it when i have had a couple of drinks and when i am sober.

: : I really don't want to get twin beds, but I am feeling really guilty - especially since my sleep patterns have been great lately.

: : I have never even heard of this until i saw this board, so any information, no matter how basic would be appreciated. For such a stupid thing it sure can cause major problems.

: : Many thanks//Chaswick
