When mine started over 15 yrs ago,,,there was NO pain. Only that icky feeling. It was simple enough to stop,,,take a hot bath and I could fall asleep. NOW,,,its another story. The past year, my feet have begun to have a horrible deep ache. Knees and ankles hurt so much sometimes, and the rls has moved into my left arm. I have put off takin medication as long as possible (except for the occasional opiate) however, I am now on neurontin and lorcet. My husband and I have not slept in the same bed for years. The only nights we sleep together is when I take lorcet. Anyway, I've been told it is a progressive disease, so I am being very careful with the meds...because I am only 38, I have a long time for it to get worse...and I am already miserable.
