: I have a very high correlation between sugar intake (junk food) and the tingling, creepy crawly leg sensation at night.
: Also, when it wakes me at night, clearing my bladder makes it subside for a bit.
: Finally, quinine sulfate is the magic bullet when the sensation is too bad to bear. Used to be over the counter but now only by prescription.
: To the doctors reading this board: do these pieces fit any particular causal pattern? i.e.- diabetes, kidney failure, iron deficiency, caffeine, etc., etc.

Woody, try going to a health food store and asking about homeopathic medicines. There is one that is called Leg cramps with quinine and you put 2-3 tablets under your tonque and they dissolve almost instantly and are essentialy tasteless. They work like the tonic water does.
