: : I am 40 years old and have had Restless Leg Syndrome for years. The first time I experienced it I was a teenager watching a football game on T.V. I got this feeling in my legs that made me want to jump. I just shook them until it was gone. When I became pregnant with my first child I had the nerve racking feeling every night.I would shake my legs half the night and spend the rest of it in a hot bath. My doctor didn't understand so I learned to suffer in silence. So did my sister experienced the thing during her second pregnancy. I experienced the thing during my second pregnancy and beyond, and now the thing has moved to my spine! Yes my spine! Now instead of shaking throughout the night, I toss, I turn, and I rub my fist into my back. I don't have(and never have had) tingling, pain, or itching. It is not an ache. I can only say that the thing is a sensation that I call a raw exposed nerve that is wound up too tight or an electrical live wire type feeling. The sensation cannot be described by any verb I know. I only know it is very uncomfortable and keeps me awake at night.
: : I would like to know if there is anyone else who has had the thing move into their spine?

: Hi, I am 18 years old and I have has rls since the beginning of my teens. Recently I have been getting it in my spine along with in my legs. I have been looking to see if anyone else had the problem and you are the first I have seen. Please let me know if you find out anything on how to treat this problem because I am getting little sleep and it is affecting my schoolwork. Thanks.
Recently diagnosed with rls but experience none of the symptoms in the legs - I have the excrutiating "raw exposed nerve endings" in my abdoman, not spine. Anyone else have rls symptoms somewhere other than the legs?
