: : : Went for a sleep study last weekend for potential of sleep apnea...do not have it but was told that my legs twitched 11 times an hour..thus causing theis RLS...I dont even realize Im doing it nor am I in pain..Doc has recommended Sinemet...any feedback on the drugs effectivenes...Also..did nothing to solve my snoring problem...THanks

: : I have been taking Sinemet for only a couple of months, and I can't believe how WONDERFUL sleep is again! I only take it at night, before bed, although the RLS has reared it's ugly head in the evenings too. I have heard that it's effectiveness may lessen over time, but I havn't experienced that yet. Good luck!!

: I was on Sinemet for a couple month's, it worked for awhile, then symtoms became worse, and I needed more, and more often, I decided that wasn't the way I wanted to go(down). My symptoms became worse than they were. Taking Folic Acid has helped a LOT. 800 mcg 3-4 hrs before retireing seems to do the trick, and it's not a perscription drug.(and also a hella of a lot cheaper, $7 for 3 mnths, V/S $37 for 1 month supply of Sinemet)
: Hope this helps, good luck
: Bill, 14yr sufferer
