I was diagnosed last year with RLS, and my doctor prescribed Clonopin first, which did nothing.
He then switched me to Sinemet CR, which stopped the nighttime tremors, but woke me up 3-4 hours after going to bed, which is what the RLS did in the first place! On top of that, I had some serious side effects during the next day...Like nausea and dizziness...
Now I'm on Mirapex, which I have found to be useful in stopping the tremors, but I don't sleep unless I combine it with low dose of Clonopin. The only good thing is I have no noticeable side-effects to either drug, singly or in combonation.
Anyone else taking the Mirapex/Clonopin combo? Please tell me what you think.
Also, anyone who experienced side-effects like mine to Sinemet, let me know, I'm curious if the Mirapex will do the same thing over time...
