I ALSO HAVE SUFFERED FROM THIS DISORDER SINCE CHILDHOOD. UNFORTUNATELY, I NOW REALIZE WHY I COULDN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT AND WAS GENERALLY TOO TIRED TO GO TO SCHOOL. IT WAS YEARS BEFORE I FOUND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT IT. MY MOTHER,BROTHER, AND SISTER HAVE IT. BOTH OF MY DAUGHTERS ALSO HAVE IT. FORTUNATELY, I HAVE GOTTEN MUCH RELIEF FROM KLONOPIN. SO, IT IS HEREDITARY, AND YES ...STRESS INCREASES THE DISCOMFORT, MENTAL PAIN, AND SLEEPLESSNESS.: I have had this disorder since I was a kid but only recently been recommended to a sleep disorder clinic. I am 47 and hope to get in to the clinic in August. In the meantime, I am having a really rough time sleeping. It seems that the restless sensation is maybe heightened during times of high stress. Yes? No? Also, has anyone had success with any herbal remedies or even pharmaceuticals? Thanks! -Steve
