My hair continues to break when getting perms, even after following advice from someone on Healthboards that the hair dresser loosen the bands. We even tried using plastic home permanent rods. My hair is turning very white around the face (where most of the breaking occurs.) Could this be that the perm solution is too strong; the hair being pulled too tight; something medical, etc???? Thanks for your help!!!
