If you use a dark brown henna, can you get your hair to be dark brown without a reddish cast? I have been told yes and no by different people. I don't want any red tones in my hair. I have a lot of premature gray mixed with my original natural color which is a very dark brown. Some people say henna doesn't cover gray, but it does. I've done it using a medium brown mixed with dark brown, which comes out reddish brown--a normal color which looks good on other people. However, because of my skin tone I prefer a more balanced color between ash and red--in other words, a nuetral natural brown. I would like to use henna as I think it's less harsh than artificial chemicals (although someone told me it was drying, others say it conditions--who to believe?) I also want a darker color than i've had with it. Will the dark brown henna still make my hair kind of reddish?
