My son has had this condition as well. He is only 2 years old, but we have been battling it for a year. It was on his face, legs, and arms. We took him to a dermatologist and have had great results with various prescriptions. One lotion that we use daily for him is called Lactic Care (available without a prescription at pharamacies, but they may need to order it for you. We also use a "buff puff" with his daily bath on the affected areas and hydrocortizone to redue redness . If you haven't visited a dermotologist yet, I would suggest it. Ours was incredibly helpful. The condition on my sons face is completely gone and his legs and arms are much better. We know it will get worse in the winter as it always does, but as long as we can avoid it returning to his face, we will concider the treatment a success.
