Amanda,
Thank you for your reply. I visited the derm yesterday and I had microdermabrasion done on my arms and have a daily regimen to follow in the morning and evening. It's a combo of Retin A lotions and Alpha Hydroxy wash and lotions. In 1 week or so, I hope to see results. Good luck with your son. When he gets older, maybe they'll figure out something that isn't so time consuming.
Thanks again!
: My son has had this condition as well. He is only 2 years old, but we have been battling it for a year.
: It was on his face, legs, and arms. We took him to a dermatologist and have had great results
: with various prescriptions. One lotion that we use daily for him is called Lactic Care (available without
: a prescription at pharamacies, but they may need to order it for you.
: We also use a "buff puff" with his daily bath on the affected areas and hydrocortizone to redue redness
: . If you haven't visited a dermotologist yet, I would suggest it. Ours was incredibly helpful. The condition
: on my sons face is completely gone and his legs and arms are much better. We know it will get
: worse in the winter as it always does, but as long as we can avoid it returning to his face,
: we will concider the treatment a success.
