Laura..I have it too and I thought I was the only one who has it too, especially being so young and getting it. I noticed mine at the age of 18 actually and I'm sure you know the suffering and thinking you are weird cuz you dont see it on anyone else. Mine came about after I had a child too and is one reason why I was afraid to ever have any more! It is soooooo frustrating and time consuming. I tried waxing in a salon in one area and it came back in 4 days so like, why bother right? I'm just coping the best I can with bleaching the mustache and plucking/shaving the chin until I get the nerve to have laser. I have seen an endocrinologist and he had me on some pills for 2 years until another doc pulled me off them and told me they are the reason I've been having heart problems and dizziness, etc...long story. I don't know why our hormones screw up like this. You don't feel very feminine when you are labeled "hirsute". If you can tolerate the birth control pill then that's one thing they give you to keep it from getting worse. Unfortuantly I couldnt tolerate it. Hey if yuo want to keep in touch and support each other, as I know it's hard living with sometimes, feel free to E-mail me at Katydid278@ivillage.com
