: My 6 year old son has a red scaly circle on his arm.In the past he has had a few of these on his crotch area and ususally some cortozone cream gets rid of these, however this one on his arm seems to be getting worse! I have been to many dermatologists. Each has given me a cream and none of them have really been effective in clearing the problem up. The redness is in a perfect circle and actually looks like ringworm. This is not the case. I am not sure what my next step is!
: Has anyone had a simillar circumstance? Does anyone know how to clear it up?
: HELP!

I have been plagued by a ringworm like rash diagnosed as such in the past but not confirmed by skin cultures. Through a fluke by changing my diet the rash I found could easily be triggered by eating lots of chocolate or lots of coffee or lots of cola or mountain dew or in the case of a friend, lots of shell fish. Digging deeper I came across a referance to iodides and bromides being suspicious in the cause of some exzemas. Oh yes and avoid those twinky like junk food cakes too. Doing this my problems vanished. I enjoy them in moderation but stress tends to push ones intake of such things as I remeber well from my high school years. I hope this helps you to look at your childs problem from a different perspective.
