: Does using one of those summer blond products to lighten one's hair cause it to break? How long does it take hair to grow?
It depends on the condition your hair was in prior to the application, and howlong the product was left to process. Yes, it will break off the hair at its weakest point, and the only thing you can do at this point is some extreme deep conditioning treatments. Once hair is 'fried' the only way to really make it better is a haircut, but if shorter hair is not an option, find s salon that uses Redken products, and purchase the Extreme line of products: shampoo, conditioner and extreme treatment. It will help, but there are no guarantees.
