There is this product that has 2% Saliclic Acid in it that has worked wonders on me. You put it on at night. And the redness is totally gone the next day, and the acne also! I use it consistantly and it works wonders. Neutrogena makes the product, there is a generic virsion also, but from my experience I like the Neutrogena one better. It is called Clear Pore Treatment, nighttime pore clarifying gel. I don't think that you should use it with other gels though, actually I don't think that you should ever mix different topical ointments. That could cause excessive driness and a multitude of different problems, the least of which is making the acne worse.
I also never had acne when I was a teen. It sucks. I also learned that most acne soaps and related products actually make you break out more than help the problem. An extemely mild soap is best. I like Cetaphil personaly.
I hope I can help.
: I am a 30 yr old woman who never had acne problems as a teen but do now, Does anyone know how to get rid of redness from a pimple to make it more non noticable? My Dr. gave me an erythromycin bases gel several months ago, but I am still getting the occasional breakout and rashy sort of breakout in my chin area. THANKS IN ADVANCE
