: Does anyone know of any foods or vitamin supplements that help to thicken hair? I have thin, straight hair and although good haircuts help, I wish it was thicker.
Certain foods and vitamins will help you keep your hair healthy; however, there are no cosmetic products that will make you grow more hair, or make any individual hair strand become thicker. You could use selected styling lotions that would give the appearance of thicker hair, although they can also weigh the hair down. I have very thick, straight, coarse hair, and I have always wished it were thinner. I have my Mothers hair -- my sisters have my Dad's hair: thin, straight and fine. Go figure! Nature gives us a combination of our parents genes, and that includes hair and nails.
