: Four years now several times a year a small breeze, the hair dryer or any movement on my hair sends shooting pain. Attack last about a week. Other symptoms of head pain but shooting pain from touch or movement of hair the worst. Diag. trigeminal neuralgia but question this. Help.
I have had similar experiences, but my problem was with sebacous glands in my hair that had decided to swell! These glands under your skin that for some unknown reason will begin to swell and hurt. My doc advised hot compress on the painful area, which will bring the secretion out of the gland. It is a bit gross...as it is oliy, yellow liquid. Just clean the area as you would a pimple on your face, and then wash your hair.
Hope this helps!
