My hair has been thinning due rheumatoid arthritis. My dermatologist recommended Rogaine Extra Strenth for Men (I'm a female) and a vitamin, Biotin. My hair stopped falling out completely and hairs have started to even grow. HOwever, they are also growing on my FACE around my eyes! So I would maybe recommend Rogaine for Women - it is not likely you will grow hair on your face and it might help with the hair loss. But stay away from Rogaine for Men!! Good luck and God bless.
