: I hope I understand the situation. This is what I understood. The fake nail detached taking most of your natural nail with it now you only the bottom part of the nail at the base by the cuticles. This has happened to me. What I suggest you do, if you haven't already is go back to the salon and have them remove the remaining fake nail. That is all they do, do not let them try to take care of it they will only make it worse. Let the nail breathe, do not put nail polish or a bandaid it will only make it worse. And yes the nail will grow back but it will take some time. If you need to go somewhere try using one of those invisible bandaids. I forgot the name, I think its nuskin or something like that. Hope I helped. Good Luck.
: : I recently had fake nails placed on for the holidays. While in the kitchen I hit my pink nail on the counter causing the nail to deattach from the skin. They nail is only attached at the base of the nail. I placed a bandaid on the nail hoping the nail would hease back together. Is this a good idea. What will happen if the nail falls off. Will it grow back?
The nail is still on, i just wanted to know if i should keep the bandaid on it to keep it from ripping completely off?
