: my hair used to be straight ,now it is curly and wavey.sometimes it reminds me of sheep hair.can I use a hair straightener to straighten it again?what product could/would you reccomend? in time will it ever be "normal, straight again?'could anyone please help me? desparate
Chemo plays havoc on the hair folicles in more than one way, but I wouldn't suggest attempting to straighten this 'new' hair. When it first grows in after chemo, there is a great chance that it will be curly -- even if it is not evenly 'curly' on the entire head. Once this 'new' hair is lost through the natural process, your normal 'straight' hair should come in again.
