Ok, it's due to medication, but at least I am sleeping all night for the first time in weeks! I take .50 mg of Xanax first, then a sleeping pill (flurazepam). Both prescribed by my Dr. because of severe insomnia. I don't plan on taking these two very long, because I know how addictive they can be, but for now it's great to get all this sleep! I also have anxiety, so am on meds for that too. Hopefully very soon, I can wean off the xanax and sleeping pills and just sleep naturally on my own. I don't want to become dependent on meds forever. Anyway, if any of you have to get something prescribed from a Dr. to sleep, I would recommend flurazepam. It's worked great for me! Just make sure you take it temporarely. Good luck!
