Why won't he try the hypnosis if all else is failing him? Does he have anxiety disorder as well? Anxiety and insomnia often go hand in hand. I should know, I've been there. I am taking prescription sleeping pills with Xanax to sleep at night (hopefully temporary). Maybe he should switch doctors and get a second and maybe third opinion. Has he had a physical to rule out any help problems? Maybe a visit to a therapist or psychiatrist would help him get to the root of his sleeping problems. Insomnia doesn't happen for just any old reason. Good luck to him!
: I don't know if anyone is in a similar scenario, but my boyfriend has had erractic sleep patterns for almost 3 years due to chronic pain. If lucky, he sleeps 2 to 3 hours a night (usually interrupted). Currently, he is taking Neurontin and Oxicontin. At night to sleep, he takes Tylenol Pm, Melatonin, and sometimes Ambien (not with the Tylenol). Nothing appears to help him. Sometimes, he tries to work to make himself exhausted...but that makes him more agitated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S.-He will not try hypnosis. My email address is MRcl3@aol.com. Thank you. Belinda Bishop
