I have been treated for narcolepsy for about 41 years. I have been taking imipramine for cataplexy for about the past 15 years. My cataplexy has become progressivly worse for about the past 10 years. Usually, cataplexy attacks come with some sort of emotional change, but, I have had several lately that seem to be particularly disatrous. One occurence. I just barely got my car off the road in time. Don't know what triggered it - scared hell out of me!! But the imipramine seems to help quite a bit. Mike
