: I had this happen and am not only sore and out of commission, but also extremely perplexed. Why did this happen? Am I alone? How do I keep this from happening again?

My husband experiences something similar. At night before he falls asleep he sees these "flashes" of light which is accompanied by what sounds like many voices whispering at the same time, and he feels an immense pressure on his chest and head. These are frightening to him and myself.

Then he has these sleep walking episodes where he jumps out of bed in a panicked state and does things like moves the bed across the room, saying it was sliding away from the wall - or he tries to run away brushing "spiders" off of him.

I don't know what this is caused by, or how to help him. I'm hoping somebody out there can!
