: Has anyone found ANY cpap machines out there that have battery backup? I'm thinking of Y2K and other times we lose power. I called my local (awful) health care company who provide me with CPAP stuff and they said "it has to be made with marine batteries - that NO ONE makes this type of machine. ONly thing they offered was the CAR lighter/plugin thing like people use while camping!.
Thanks for asking the question. I have the same problem with my machine when on a boat or camping where there is no (AC) electricity. I can't find any encouraging words from this or any other site so I am going to build my own from a 12V marine blower, flow valve and a portable auto charging battery. I'll use a ping pong ball in a funnel to match flow rates with my current machine to determine flow rates. Wish me luck.
It may not be perfect, but it will be better than nothing.
