Rocking - Rhythmic Movement Disorder

Greetings, I am new to this message board but certainly not new to sleep disorders! I am 35 years old and have 35 years worth of experience in "Rhythmic Movement Disorder" - AKA rocking!

I have been kicked out of beds and bedrooms all of my life for this rocking - as a baby I did it so hard that I once rolled my crib into the bedroom door and my parents had to climb through a window to get to me! I've had a dog back me because of this, I've been yelled at, cursed, hit, I've been pulled out of a tent on a camping trip and almost put IN a fire because they thought I had hypothermia - the fun just goes on and on.

I'd love to hear from others who have this disorder who know someone with it - I have tried ONCE to get help and am about to try again - ONE day I'd like to be able to spend ALL night in my wife's bed!
