: I had this happen and am not only sore and out of commission, but also extremely perplexed. Why did this happen? Am I alone? How do I keep this from happening again?
These episodes are called night terrors and/or nocturnal seizures. I am afflicted with them both.
Either or both can cause you to "fly" out of bed. I usually have the seizures and feel like I am being
electrocuted. Sometimes I just have instantaneous nightmares, and after hitting the floor like less than a
second later, I am terrified and do not know why. I have been injured many times by these. Have
seen many doctors also. They cannot figure out why so they just prescribe me tranquilizers. I do
not like taking them, but it is much better than the alternative.
