: Hi, I'm new to this board, but last Thursday afternoon I quit smoking and I haven't had one since. How did I do this? Amazingly enough I got hypnotised. I was a little skeptical, but I went to the doctor, he hypnotised me, and now I feel fantastic. I have to listen to the tape (30 minutes) in the morning when I wake up and at night before I go to sleep for the next month, but I consider that a small price to pay. I haven't been strict on the listening either, but I still don't want a cigarette. Funnily for me, the smell of smoke now really disgusts me.. I can hardly believe I was once addicted to cigarettes. I tried so many other ways to quite, nicorette, the patch, will power (ha ha), and even though it's only been a week, I have complete faith that this method is the one that will work for me forever.
: Anyway, most of my friends are non smokers, and they can't really appreciate what a wonderful thing it is to give up smoking, so I thought I would post it here, firstly because maybe it might be helpful for someone else, and secondly because only people trying to give up smoking can really appreciate my story.
