Quiting smoking is one the hardest things in the world. It is sweet of you to help your friend. He really needs someone thru this. After a meal maybe he can try brushing his teeth right away, usually that will help get rid of the craving. Try to get him busy on other things right away, like a walk with you or doing the dishes. Breaking the habit is the hardest part. Listen to him, being right there to help and comfort is a big thing. I wish you two all the best.
: Hi. I am in need of advice for a friend. I have two questions. One, in what way can I be supportive for my friend who is desperately trying to quit smoking? Second, because my friend has difficulty not smoking after a meal, can any of you suggest ways for him to handle this? What are some things that you did to replace that cig after eating? He says that this is the most difficult time because he really craves them after a meal.
: Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated. I truly feel helpless in this situation.
