: I quite smoking July 6\00 after taking Zyban for 10 days. I had no side affects for the first while, but in the last two weeks I have been feeling light headed, confused, emotional & depressed. I still have 3/4 of a prescription left but I am quitting taking them July 21\00 which is tomorrow. I don't have an urge at all to smoke so I don't need to take zyban anymore. It does the job but there are some side effects. If you can quit smoking by taking this after a couple of weeks, I really believe it is worth taking zyban.

I began taking Wellbutrin 1/1/98. I took it and smoked until 1/31/98. I had to force myself to smoke my last cigerette. I continued taking Wellbutrin for about 7-10 more days (if that long) and I have been smoke-free since. Only under heavy stress to I even think about smoking. But it's not enough of a desire to act on it. The hardest part for me was filling in the time that used to be reserved for smoking. Like after a meal. On a break, etc. By the way, I had smoked for 20 years, never attempted to quit before, and was up to 2 packs a day when I started Wellbutrin. I am a believer.
