I have used Zyban before and quit smoking for a year. The only reason I started again is because I am stupid! Seriously, Zyban does help. It does cut down the cravings, it does make me view smoking as negative, and it does help me deal better, I'm not as emotional on it as I was when I tried to quit cold turkey. Bad idea... I was a basket case. Anyway, I've now been back smoking for 2 years and decide to quit again. I took Zyban for 7 days (1 pill) and still smoked. I quit on the eighth day and started taking 2 a day. I am doing fine and I haven't smoked since my quit date 5 days ago. It's not much, but you have to start somewhere. If you experience side effects, decide whether they're serious or not. You know your body better than anyone else. I say go for the gold, and see what happens!
Good luck... hope you'll all be ex-smokers soon!

: I have a prescription from my doctor for Zyban. I have yet to fill it. I AM ready to quit....tired of being out of breath, stinking like old cigarettes, and tired of the continual recurrences of bronchites and sinus infections. Anyways, came to this site, and now my hope for help has been traded in for uneasiness. Is there anyone out there who has a happy ending for this medication? Or is it definately bad news?
