Hi. Thank you for responding. After your fusion showed up on your x-rays at 6 months things were fine? No touch-up surgeries or anything? What kind of fusion did you have? What level? With rods and screws or cages? The reason I ask is because my surgeon said that he will know for sure what is going on after 3 months and that if the fusion isn't taking I will have to have a "touch-up" surgery within 6 months of the first surgery. If they wait longer than 6 months he said he would have to do the whole fusion over again, opposed to just touching it up. I guess different doctors have different opinions. You see, I was told that my fusion would complete after 3 months and at 6 months I could go back to competitive sports. But people I have met on-line are telling me that fusions take between 1-2 years to complete. Is this what you heard also? I am sure it depends on the level of the fusion and the techniques used, but let's face it. There is a HUGE difference in 3 months and 2 years. I just don't get it. My surgeon is planning on re-operating BY 6 months if it looks like the fusion isn't taking. But your fusion didn't even start to show up UNTIL six months. After that, how long did it take until the doc said your good and fused? Thank you for your time.
P.S. My e-mail address is Love2Flip@aol.com if that would be easier.
