: Thank you for response. What kind of body brace were you in? My mother got fitted for a brace just last week. I can't remember the exact name of it, but the front is soft, the back is hard plastic, it velcroes, the back also has some strings and when you pul this little the strings get tighter. Also, you said you still have some pain. Is the pain you have now from surgery? Or is it the same kind of pain you had BEFORE surgery? Thank you for your time.

Hi Mikayla,
I had a fusion on 2/14, with bone graft, screws and rods (L4/5) My dr. says a full year for the fusion to be complete. I am almost 5 weeks post op, 48 and feel I am doing well. Pain is managable, lots of things I can't do like bend to pick things up, twist, etc. but I am doing okayl I will be off work 6 months, email me if you would like : garontakos@aol.com
