: : i have been diagnost with spianal stenos, I and or spinal colomn injury, i have secere pain in cervicl area, radiating into my arm, shoulder etc. SPINAL STENOSIS. WHAT IS THIS, WHAT CAUSES IT AND HOW IS IT TREATED I need dr that will look into my caser seriosly.

Hi, Betty and Denise. Couldn't help but respond about the cervical spinal stenosis. I've had two surgeries for this stuff. The last one being a 3-level fusion at C-4/5, 5/6, 6/7. Needless to say, I am not doing as well as I would like to be. Anyway, spinal stenosis is narrowing and/or compression/pressure on your spinal cord due to damage and/or just wear and tear of your spine. It can be from herniated discs, and/or bony outgrowths (osteo-arthritis) that have developed in your spinal vertebrae. All I know is this stuff can cause painful neck, shoulders, arms, hands and whatever! I got to where I was as clumsy as can be, and pain so bad that you don't want to move. I also have trouble with dizziness and "ear noises." This stuff is no fun and surgery is usually the only answer as far as I know. Hope this helps both of you out a little. Please e-mail me if you want. My best to both of you.
Carol
