John, Real briefly if you have an HMO go to emergency and tell them the extent of your problem. If you are having any numbness, do it immediately. You can read my story in "Joe from California" back in February. By pass you primary physician. I now have 40% paralysis on my back legs. Look up information on Cauda Equana to become better informed on the worst case senarior. I hope the best for you. Remember HMO means managed care and that translate into managing your own care. Joe
