I too asked the same question pre-oppand was told that it was better than stainless. The Dr. told me they had never had or heard of a problem.I've had one for three weeks without a glitch. I,ve mainy complaints but my titanium hasn't been on the list. In addition I was concerned about the airport metal detector. Today It passed the test. Good luck, Bill:
