: John,
: Real briefly if you have an HMO go to emergency and tell them the extent of your problem. If you are having any numbness, do it immediately. You can read my story in "Joe from California" back in February. By pass you primary physician. I now have 40% paralysis on my back legs. Look up information on Cauda Equana to become better informed on the worst case senarior. I hope the best for you. Remember HMO means managed care and that translate into managing your own care.
: Joe
Joe I agree, What I thought was a pulled neck muscle, became a herniated C5-C6, and progressed to a Spinal Stenosis. Of course, during this times I am playing the doctor/receptionist game. With slowly advancing symptoms, do you thing one of them would have cut the "new patient" wait? No way, now I have all four extremities involved, and the surgery was in December. Bottom line, don't wait. Time is muscle/nerve damage. Good Luck! Terri email TerHarRN@aol
