: having suffered the above several months ago and suffering the accompanying paraplegia I have been subsequently sent home with a firm handshake and a jolly goodluck - nothing more we can do........
: I have been working on my own (friends of course) and still after 6 months making small but consistant improvement - swimming and home physio etc being the current methods adopted ........ DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY POINTERS / INFO that would be of assistance .
: Thanks

Hang in there. I, too, had a spinal stroke as the result of an AVM that blew. I had been paralyzed from shoulders down. I finally was able to walk with walking aides after 8 months or so. It's now 5 months later and I very rarely use my cane, though my gait is still way off. I was "kicked" out of therapy 3 months ago because of my progress. I was wondering what was the cause of your stroke.
