hello agaon everyone. in a month or so i'll be having a discectomy with pins inserted in my spine. i've been unable to work for a year now, as well as excercise. as a result of the lack of excercise i've put on about 15 pounds of bad weight, which needless to say has increased the strain on my back. my hope is that once i recieve my settlement from the insurance companies involved and get the surgery done, i can use it to have liposuction done. the idea being that lipo can remove excess weight quickly and lessen the strain on the lower back, thereby making the rehabilitation process that much easier. i realize a lot of people think this is a shallow, easy way out, but anything that can help me get my normal life back would be worth it at this point. i'm not averse to working out hard to achieve a goal, in fact it kills me that i can't. since i've been out of work i've gone from 6'3", 205 to 220, and none of it is good weight. i realize this is a rare topic in relation to spinal disorders, but i know a lot of people here have been through the long re-hab process and i was hoping for their input. granted it may be cheating, but i'll do anything right now. anyone who knows anything about liposuction, any input would be greatly appreciated.
