My son had an accident 1 year ago and has SCI. The state came into our home and helped us to make it accessible for the wheelchair. I guess it depends on what state you are in. We are in Florida.Maybe you can get in touch with some type of state aid agency and ask questions. Let me know how things progress for your friend.
